Appointment at the French Consulate General

People without appointments will not be allowed within the Consulate.
Be advised that particular slots are solely reserved during the afternoons to visa nationals married to French and EU citizens (to whom the gratuity of the visa administrative fees apply) - you may however attend a morning appointment if more convenient.
Visa nationals who contracted a civil partnership or a PACS must schedule a morning appointment, i.e. category tourist visa.
How to make an appointment?

- or call 09065 540 700 ( £1/min.) The automated telephone appointment booking service allows up to 5 passports per person calling - only the details of the caller will be requested. However, those 5 persons must be travelling on the same trip.

Groups of 10 or more - school, university, church groups- travelling together must contact the Visa Section at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Please send us the list of people wishing to travel to France, indicating their nationality and their UK residency status, i.e. date of arrival in the UK and expiry date of their permit, as well as a self-addressed stamped envelope to " French Consulate General, Visa Section, Group Application, P.O. Box 57, London, SW7 2EW". This service is not offered to travel agencies.

Safety mesures:
For security reason and lack of space, only applicants will be allowed within the Consulate.
Travel bags will not be allowed inside as well as potentially harmful objects and replica gun toys.
Once leaving the building, you will not be allowed to re-enter.
Processing of a visa application entails a delay of a few hours so please plan beforehand for parking, childcare, work commitment and so on.
