Blue Eiffel Tower signals French EU presidency
The Eiffel Tower donning the colours of Europe to mark the beginning of the French Presidency of the European Union

On the evening of 30 June, the Eiffel Tower was illuminated in blue with the twelve stars of Europe to mark the beginning of the French Presidency of the European Union in the presence of M. Bernard Kouchner, his Slovenian counterpart, Mr Dimitrij Rupel, and the Ambassadors of the other 26 Member States. The Eiffel Tower will be donning the colours of Europe every evening from 30 June onwards.
