IRAN/NUCLEAR
Q. - During his visit to Japan, will Bernard Kouchner ask those he’s having a meeting with to take advantage of their presidency of the Security Council in April to accelerate the approval of a new resolution against Iran? Do you already have Japan’s support for such a resolution?
The Iranian nuclear issue will of course be on the agenda of the Minister’s meetings during his visit to Japan. We are working closely with the Japanese, particularly in the run-up to their presidency of the Security Council in April, towards a resolution capable of finally prompting the Iranians to engage in serious discussions regarding their sensitive activities./.
