Meeting between Pierre Lellouche, Minister of State responsible for European Affairs, and Alex Salmond, First Minister of Scotland – Statement by the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry Spokesman

On 8 February, Pierre Lellouche, Minister of State responsible for European Affairs, will have a meeting with Alex Salmond,
The meeting will be the opportunity to confirm the excellent longstanding relations uniting France with Scotland, in the framework of our bilateral relationship with the United Kingdom, and will cover matters of common interest such as the fight against global warming, emergence from the crisis, the new European “EU 2020” strategy for growth and employment, as well as fishing. The meeting will provide the chance to stress the excellent relations between France and Scotland, particularly in the cultural field./.
